easy as cake!
so yesterday, i was getting ready to leave... zac and i were going shopping for our poker night... when austin comes into the kitchen saying that he's gonna bake a cake while i'm gone. i asked him if he had ever made one by himself before and he said he hadn't. i told him to be really careful and follow the directions and he said he would. so by the time i got home, he had one tiny bread pan of cake. i asked him where the rest of it was and he said, "in the alley..." apparently he had gotten mixed up and he put a whole cup of oil in instead of 1/3 cup! haha! he didn't want mom and dad to find out so he threw it outside and washed up all the dishes! haha! so to help him out, i made a cake so the house wouldn't smell like cake without an actual cake in the house. meanwhile, austin forgot to throw his tiny cake (in the tiny bread pan) away. so when mom and dad got home, mom found the cake and questioned austin. he had to blow the whole story! haha
ps- it didn't quite look like that... it looked better! haha

that was so sweet of you kels to help him make a cake... remember that one time you kicked a hole in my door... and we patched it up so we wouldnt get in trouble... and then austin kicked it in... and mom and dad found out... and then i got freaking grounded even though it was your guys fault? lol... i dont know why that story popped into my head... haha... seriously though, way to try to help cover a little boo boo... haha :) i laughed so hard!
Not from Adrian--from Mom
Kendle,
remember when you caught the oven on fire making monkey bread in an angel food pan (with the removable bottom)? Did you set off the fire alarm? I know you used the fire extinguisher. Good times (not really) but a funny memory just the same. Think you'd tried to get it cleaned up before we got home.
I think everyone has mixed up the oil and water measurements at one time in their baking career! But now it will always be remembered to double check!! What is "monkey bread"?
Oh my gosh…I’m laughing so hard I’m crying!! HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!! Seriously… I think this is the funniest post ever!! I can’t stop laughing! Brilliant Austin…brilliant! The alley is a good place!! That was very sweet of you to try to cover it up Kels! What did mom say? What she cracking up?
Yah Kendle… you totally caught the oven on fire!! At least Austin didn’t do that!!!!!!!! Note to self, never use a fire extinguisher again! It makes too much of a mess!
Is Karla serious about the monkey bread? How does she not know?
(Mom—stop logging in and using my name!)
