bummer

so... today there was a blood drive at the church. i don't usually do blood drives at the church cause they didn't work very well with my school ones. anyway, we went- mom, kendle, devin and me- and nicole and zac got there right after us! but it was kinda awful! (and when i say "kinda" i mean "really" :) ). so we waited and waited, drank water, ate cookies and cheezits and nutter butters (naturally, it's a blood drive!) i went to the bathroom three, count them, three times! but it was all in vain! kendle got deferred first, her temperature was too high. then mom got deferred. her iron was too low. (your iron has to be at least 12.5. mom's was 12.2 :(. by the way, kendle was a beast. her iron was at 13.8!!) and last, and very least, my iron was at 11.5. sad face. nicole was even more of a beast than kendle! her iron was in the 14s. i don't remember exactly. (sorry nicole! :)) so nicole gave blood and saved lives! then went off to work and saved more lives! she's my hero! hehe. after 2 hours and 15 minutes, zac and devin still hadn't even been called! so out of 6 of us, nicole was the only one to actually donate! kind of a depressing blood drive. :(

ps- today was not a bad day thought! i got two new dresses! :)

burn

i have been doing so good all summer long. i put on sunscreen every time i'm in the pool. i have even been getting tan! and i have been burned once or twice already, but today was the first time i really burned. it is not fun. that's all i have to say about it. i was gonna put up some pictures from a couple summers ago when i really, really, really burned, but the are pretty much grotesque. so we'll skip that part. here are some pictures from right now. it's way worse than it looks in these pictures too, so just imagine... ouch.

girls' night

last night, ashley and i decided to do masks. we pretty much do this at least once every time we're together. so then, we were in the bathroom and kendle and nicole walked by and wanted to do masks so we decided to make it a full-out girls' night. someone else in this house may have done a mask with us too... and i'll give you a hint. it wasn't mom and it wasn't dad. haha and then it reminded me of that one friends episode when joey and ross are fighting... about rachel i think, but i can't remember for sure... and joey makes fun of ross for having face mask stuff and ross gets offended and says he has an oily "t" zone (and he says it in that unmistakable, whiny voice haha). so they keep fighting and joey ends up storming out but he comes back in and grabs the can and says, "how do i use this?" and then ross is all, "just here and here" pointing at his "t" zone. hahahaha funny.

anyway... we ended up doing face masks, satin hands, satin lips, cuticle stuff and i whitened my teeth too. it was the best! such a fun night! and we just might do it again! haha

my new love

earlier this week mom, dad, and i went shopping and bought my graduation present! a new laptop!!! and it's fantastic!! so we bought it on monday, and we got this smart bundle thing with it so we had to leave it overnight so they could remove trialware and install software and all that fun stuff. then they said they would call at some point on tuesday but they never actually gave a time.

so tuesday... early afternoon... mom, kendle, and i went to see 17 again, again. (which, by the way, it was even better the second time!!! love that movie and love zac efron! hehe! if you have not seen it, you must!!) anyway, so the whole time we were out i was calling the home phone voice mail to see if they had called and left a message (after mom and taught me how, that is!). but alas, they had not. :(

so finally at like 4 o'clock, i couldn't take it anymore so i called them! the girl that answered the phone went and checked on it for me and they had just finished. so kendle and i jumped in the car and went to get my computer. but then we had to pick up austin at his friend's house and we started talking to austin's friend's mom and saw their new puppy and all this stuff. to make a long story short, it was like 8 o'clock at night before i could even open the box!! but it was worth the wait! it's seriously fantastic!!
